Improving Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates in a Family Medicine Clinic
Participated in a quality improvement project aimed at increasing colorectal cancer screening rates among eligible patients. Using Epic's SlicerDicer tool and health maintenance alerts, we identified screening gaps and developed targeted outreach strategies to improve preventive care delivery.
MY VOiCE: Milwaukee Youth Voices- Open Conversations on the Gun Violence
Held focus group discussions with Milwaukee-area youth to understand perspectives on gun-violence prevention, community safety, and school environments.
Normalization of Firearm Access Among Youth in Milwaukee: A Secondary Analysis of MY VOiCE
Performed a thematic analysis of MY VOiCE data to explore the normalization of firearm access and its implications for youth health and safety.
Comparison of Management Strategies and Outcomes in Acute Diverticulitis: Acute Care Surgery Versus Colorectal Surgery Services at a Single Institution
Investigating whether surgeon specialization influences outcomes in patients undergoing surgery for acute diverticulitis. The goal is to identify factors associated with postoperative complications and explore opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
